Lucid dreams and spirituality: intention, exploration, and discernment
A lucid dream is a dream in which the person becomes aware that they are dreaming. For some traditions it becomes a space of inner exploration; it is also an intimate experience that calls for gentleness and discernment.
Set a gentle intention
Before sleep, write one simple sentence: observe a landscape, meet an inner quality, or remember a dream. An intention is not a demand, and sleep remains the priority.
Recognise the dream state
During the day, take a few seconds to notice your hands, your surroundings, and your breathing. This attention may become a dream cue without encouraging anxious doubt about reality.
After waking
Do not move immediately. Record images, emotions, and sensory details before interpreting them. Dreams often speak through associations and metaphors; their meaning becomes clearer when compared with lived experience.
With the Grimoire
A dream journal can connect with the Moon, transits, and Tarot. The personal thread helps distinguish a recurring symbol from an isolated image and observe what genuinely supports self-understanding.
